Biomedical signal processing

Our research group explores innovative approaches in signal processing for biomedical applications. We focus on biosignal analysis, biomarkers data science, and embedded systems design for medical applications to develop advanced methods for capturing, analyzing, and interpreting biomedical data. Below, we highlight key aspects of our research and the related products, including published papers, developed devices, and collaborative efforts.

  • Biosignal AnalysisWe focus on developing advanced techniques for analyzing biosignals such as ECG, EEG, and PPG. Our work aims to enhance the accuracy of diagnosis and monitoring by processing these signals to extract critical health information, detect anomalies, and track physiological changes over time.

  • Biomarkers Data ScienceOur research utilizes data science techniques to identify and analyze biomarkers from large datasets. By applying machine learning and statistical methods, we aim to improve the prediction, diagnosis, and monitoring of diseases, making healthcare more personalized and effective.
  • Biomarkers collection using iOS and swift
  • Embedded Systems Design for Medical ApplicationsWe specialize in designing and developing embedded systems tailored for medical applications. Our work includes creating portable, reliable, and energy-efficient devices that can be used for real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and processing in various healthcare settings.
  • PCB design as an example of embedded systems
  • Collaboration with Jade University at WilhelmshavenOur collaboration with Jade University in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, is a key aspect of our international engagement. We actively participate in the Biomedical Engineering Summer School, where our researchers and students join a multidisciplinary environment to explore cutting-edge applications in biosignal processing, AI, and human-machine interaction. This program fosters the exchange of ideas, enhances our research through practical, hands-on projects in state-of-the-art laboratories, and builds valuable global partnerships.
